2010 Chinese REACH regulation

  • “The Measures for Environmental Administration of New Chemical Substances” (China Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) Directive No.7,) was issued in Jan 2010 and went into effect on Oct 15, 2010. This regulation is similar to EU REACH and is also known as ‘‘Chinese REACH’’.
  • The rodenticide intermediates, C22H20O (stage 6 of Difenacoum synthesis) and C22H19BrO (stage 7 of Brodifacoum synthesis) manufactured by Siyang Rodenticide Factory passed the environmental and safety evaluation as new chemical substances on January 12, 2011 by the China REACH regulation.
